We are (almost) crawling

When I watch this video it is hard to believe that just over ten months ago we were told that Mikail would never sit up, crawl, or walk and that he would forever be in a wheelchair. When I see him scooting around the house like this, on the verge of crawling, I feel so blessed...even if he squeels and fake cries in frustration at wanting to do more:

We are off to the Glenrose Rehabilitation Centre and the Stollery Children's Hospital in May, just before Mikail's first birthday. His Neurologist is really behind on follow up visits, so we will have to see him a few months later than possible I am highly disappointed about this because I was hoping they would do an MRI at 12 months to see how his brain is doing. We will have to be happy with the Glenrose visit as well as a visit to the pediatric ophthalmologist to have his eyes checked. The stroke may have affected his peripheral vision, although from day to day living we aren't seeing any warning signs of this, but are more than happy to have his eyes checked out. Glad it is a pediatric ophthalmologist and not just an optometrist seeing him.

I can't believe Mikail is going to be a year old in less than 2 months. How time flies. How incredibly much has happened in this past year.
